NRF: The past 3 years have shown that Taliban are as fanatical and repressive as they were in 1990s.

He stressed that the experience of three years of Taliban rule had destroyed the illusion of a pragmatic and moderate Taliban.

In an online speech on Tuesday, Massoud said the Taliban had exploited the world's fatigue with Afghanistan to maintain their rule and continued to suppress Afghan citizens, especially women.

The United States should provide arms and non-arms assistance to the Afghan National Resistance Front to regain the trust of Afghan citizens, the Hudson Research Institute said in a report.

Meanwhile, Massoud also expressed hope that US policymakers in Washington would welcome the demand and other points of the report.

Ahmad Massoud introduced the Front of Resistance as an alternative to the Taliban to establish a democratic and pluralistic government.

The leader of the Front of Resistance, referring to militant attacks in Pakistan, said there were more than 21 terrorist groups in Afghanistan under the control of the Taliban and that the group's rule could destabilize the region.

He pointed to dozens of successful operations by the Front of Resistance against the Taliban and said the Front of Resistance's goal is to create hope among the people and prevent the current situation in Afghanistan from normalizing.

Luke Kafi, a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, said in a report that the anti-Taliban resistance front had carried out about 200 military attacks in the first half of 2024, pointing to its goals and activities in Panjshir and other provinces.

Ahmad Massoud, the leader of the Afghan National Resistance Front, said in a virtual speech at the Hudson Institute that the experience of the past three years has shown that the Taliban are as fanatical and repressive as in the 1990s and that there are no good or bad Taliban.
