Wasif Bakhtari, a writer and poet of the Persian language, died at the age of 80.

One of the nation's most renowned poets, authors, and writers, Professor Mohammad Shah Wasif Bakhtari, passed away while living in exile. Wasif Bakhtari was raised in Kabul and Columbia after being born in Balkh in 1321 AH.

More than twenty works by Professor Wasif Bakhtari have been left behind,

including "From this mirror of history, the sun does not die, from Mayyad to forever" and a number of other works.
