Nasir Ahmad Faiq: international community to hold Taliban accountable for human rights abuses

Mr. Faiq wrote in a message on X that the education and participation of women in society is not a privilege, but one of their basic rights.

He further added: "On World Human Rights Day, we stand by the people of Afghanistan, especially women and girls who are facing unprecedented restrictions and violations of their constitutional rights."

He also emphasized the importance of international support for efforts to restore justice, dignity and opportunities for all Afghan people.

On the occasion of the International Human Rights Day, Nasir Ahmad Faiq, the head of Afghanistan's representation in the United Nations, says that the international community should hold Taliban accountable for human rights violations.
