United Nations: More than 28 million people in Afghanistan need urgent assistance







This fund wrote in a statement today (Friday, 25th of Aqrab) that this institution has conducted a comprehensive assessment throughout Afghanistan about the state of mental health and people's needs.
According to the assessment of this institution, 13.8 million of the needy are women and girls.
The United Nations Population Fund says that Afghan citizens are facing the negative effects of decades of conflict, severe drought, natural disasters, food insecurity and homelessness.
Meanwhile, the World Food Program has recently said in a report that 14.8 million people in Afghanistan need urgent humanitarian aid in the coming winter.
