The Taliban's Ministry of Promotion of Virtue has arrested more than 13,000 people in the past year

Taliban ministry officials told a news conference on Tuesday that more than 280 fighters had been fired for not shaving.


The Taliban ministry called the arrest of citizens one of the achievements and activities of the ministry for a year.


Taliban officials have not specified the nature of the charges or the gender of the 13,000 people arrested in the past year; But they added that they were not detained for more than 24 hours and were released.


The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has called the Taliban's ministry a violator of human rights and fundamental freedoms of Afghan citizens. women and another 828 cases were done with men.


The Taliban have also continued to carry out corporal punishment and executions regularly over the past three years, with at least 179 people, including 147 men, 28 women and four boys, being executed across Afghanistan on various charges from June to April 30 this year alone. They have whipped the public.
