Leader of Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement in PAK Calls Violence Against Afghan Refugees in Iran Inhumane

Mr. Pashtun on Thursday called the violence of an Iranian police officer against a deaf Afghan teenager illegal and against human principles.

The leader of the Pashtun Protection Movement called on the Islamic Republic to prevent further harm to Afghan refugees and migrants.

A 15-year-old Afghan teenager named Sayed Mehdi was seriously injured and broke his neck after being tortured by an Iranian security officer, sources among Afghan migrants in Iran said on Wednesday.

The Iranian police's actions have drawn widespread reactions inside and outside Iran. Many Afghan and Iranian users have compared the treatment of the Afghan teenager to the violence of US police against a black man named George Floyd, which led to his death.

Manzoor Pashtun, the leader of the Pakistani Pashtun Protection Movement, strongly condemned the violence against Afghan migrants in Iran.
