Australian and UN officials discuss the situation of Afghan women
This embassy wrote in a message on the X user page on Monday (19th of August) that Mr. Campbell had a conversation with the representative of the United Nations Women's Department about the wide-ranging humanitarian and human rights challenges that women and children are facing.

The meeting of the Australian ambassador for gender equality with the representative of the United Nations women's department has been done while women in Afghanistan are facing severe legal and social restrictions and their access to education, work and fundamental freedoms has become extremely narrow.
The Australian Embassy in Afghanistan announced that Stephanie Kopus Campbell, the country's ambassador for gender equality, met and discussed the situation of women in Afghanistan with the representative of the United Nations Women's Department.
