UN Representative in Afghanistan: We commemorate Girls' Day in Afghanistan "with great sorrow"

Roza Otunbaeva, the head of the UN Deputy Mission in Afghanistan, says that due to the existence of problems and challenges facing Afghan girls, they are honoring this day "with sadness".
On the occasion of International Girl's Day (Friday, 20 Mizan), Mrs. Otunbayeva said in a statement that in the last three years, Taliban have taken all the opportunities not only from girls, but from all the people of Afghanistan.
After the Taliban took over, the citizens of the country, especially women and girls, have been deprived of most of their rights due to the restrictions imposed by the Taliban.
At the same time, a number of women's rights activists accuse the United Nations, especially Rosa Otunbayeva, of collaborating with the Taliban.
October 11th is the International Day of the Girl around the world.
