Taliban Security Commission meeting held in Kandahar chaired by Mullah Yaqoob







According to the commission, some senior Taliban officials were present at the meeting, including Ibrahim Sadr, Deputy Minister of Interior for Security, Nazir Ahmad Nasser, representative of the Taliban leader's office, and Mullah Shirin Akhund, the Taliban governor in Kandahar.
According to the Taliban, the meeting discussed strengthening the security situation, combating drugs, and securing borders.
The Taliban Security Commission announced in a statement that necessary decisions have been made to improve the implementation of these issues, but did not provide further details of these decisions.
Despite the presence of the Taliban's defense minister, Sirajuddin Haqqani, the group's interior minister, was absent from the meeting.
In his place, Ibrahim Sadr, a figure close to the Taliban leader, represented the interior ministry. Ibrahim Sadr is a mysterious and influential member of the Taliban security structure who rarely appears in the media.
He has previously emphasized the need for unconditional obedience to the Taliban leader, Haibatullah Akhundzada, and considered obedience to Haibatullah essential for the survival of the Taliban regime.
A meeting of the Taliban's security and purge commission, chaired by Mullah Yaqub, the group's defense minister, was held in Kandahar on Thursday.
