Zakir Jalali: US and Taliban have passed the war phase and moving towards constructive relations

Zakir Jalali, an official in the Taliban's Foreign Ministry, announced that these developments indicate a transition from the war phase and a move towards diplomatic relations.

Abdul Matin Qane, a spokesman for the Taliban's Interior Ministry, confirmed that the United States had removed the bounties it had placed for the capture of Sirajuddin Haqqani, Abdul Aziz Haqqani, and Yahya Haqqani.

However, the US State Department has not yet officially commented on this matter. This action was taken after an American delegation traveled to Kabul to negotiate the release of George Goldsman, an American citizen who had been held in Taliban custody for two years.

Washington has announced that it has not made any concessions to the Taliban in exchange for Golzman's release, but former US diplomat Zalmay Khalilzad said that this move shows the Taliban's goodwill towards the United States and Donald Trump.

Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Taliban's foreign minister, considered the American delegation's visit a sign of progress in relations between the two countries, and Zakir Jalali wrote on the X social network that these developments are an example of realistic and pragmatic diplomacy between Kabul and Washington.

Following the removal of the names of some Haqqani Network leaders from the US State Department's list of most-wanted individuals, Taliban officials have viewed this move as a sign of practical engagement between the two sides.
