A 14-year-old teenage girl committed suicide in Faryab

Sources identified the teenage girl as Narges, who was 14 years old.


According to sources, the teenage girl committed suicide at her home in Hazara Qeshlaq village of Almar district on Monday.


The motive for the suicide is still unclear; The Taliban have not commented on the matter.


In the past three years, the number of suicides among Afghan citizens, especially among young girls and adolescents, has increased dramatically.


Most of the suicides are caused by economic problems, domestic violence, forced marriages, mental disorders and increased restrictions.

A teenage girl has hanged herself in Almar district of Faryab province, sources confirmed.
