Mullahs of the Ministry of Defense of the Taliban were promoted to the rank of generals
The media division of the Ministry of Defense has now produced a video recording of members of this group wearing military uniforms after Taliban Defense Minister Mullah Yaqub instructed that they do so within the Ministry of Defense. Several Taliban Mullahs may be seen donning the ranks of Lieutenant General and Major General on their shoulders in this video,
stressing the execution of their superiors' directives. Many claim that while the Taliban do not follow the rules—even if it is a fundamental of the system—it is hoped that they will personalize their behavior and values.
