Khamenei: Iran's response to a U.S. attack is definite

He emphasized that the war is detrimental to both sides, but America will suffer more from it than Iran.

Khamenei also rejected Washington's offer of negotiations, calling it a "deception for public opinion." He said at a meeting in Tehran that he had not received the claim that Donald Trump had sent a letter for negotiations.

The Iranian Foreign Minister also confirmed that the letter was not received directly and was to be delivered to Tehran through an Arab official.

Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced that the United States, in addition to the nuclear issue, also wants to negotiate Iran's role in the region, but described this demand as "unrealistic."

The Leader of the Islamic Republic also referred to Iran's nuclear program and said that Tehran is not seeking nuclear weapons, but if it had made such a decision, the United States would not be able to prevent it.

In another part of his speech, he called Western sanctions against Iran "ineffective" and emphasized that his country has found ways to counter the sanctions.

These statements come at a time when Donald Trump has announced that Iran can be managed "military or through a deal," but his preference is to reach an agreement.

Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, warned that any US attack on Iran would be met with a "definite and certain" response.
