Mehria Ashufta, a woman of Afghan descent, has been elected to the Hamburg state parliament







She, who was a candidate of the Social Democratic Party, achieved victory in the elections held on Sunday, 12 Hut.
Ashufteh announced in a message that her close associates were aware of her success; however, she herself had refrained from any predictions until the results were announced.
This politician of Afghan descent has stated her goal as amplifying the voice of Afghan immigrants in Germany and fostering hope among the people.
Mahria Ashufteh was born in Kabul and migrated to Germany with her family during childhood. She currently works as a lawyer and a professor at the Faculty of Law at the University of Hamburg.
She is the second woman of Afghan descent to enter the Hamburg state parliament. Before her, Zohreh Majdadi had been a representative of this state for the past four years.
Mahria Ashufteh, a lawyer and university professor of Afghan descent, succeeded in entering the Hamburg state parliament with over 9,000 votes.
