Scott Basant confirmed by the US Senate as the Trump administration's Treasury Secretary
Mr. Bennet was confirmed as US Treasury Secretary on Monday (February 29) by the Senate with a vote of 68 to 29.
Scott Besant will officially take office as the 79th Secretary of the Treasury in the new United States administration.
Scott, who is himself one of America's billionaires, will play an important role in shaping the new administration's policies on tax and spending cuts and managing economic relations with allies and opponents.
Tax collection and the $28 trillion Treasury debt market, fiscal policy, financial regulations, international sanctions, and investments outside the United States are among the duties that Scott will be responsible for.
The United States Senate has confirmed Scott Besant as the new US Treasury Secretary.
