Zabihullah Mujahid: Hamid Khorasani has no position in Talban's administration and lives alone

Zabihullah Mujahid told Tasnim news agency on Sunday that Khorasani's recent statements were personal and had nothing to do with the Taliban.

"This man has no position in Afghanistan and is in charge of the house," the Taliban spokesman said.

Recently, the Tajik-born Taliban commander criticized the harassment of Afghan migrants by Iranian citizens and police in a video with a harsh tone and rude words.

Khorasani said Iran only has a hand in deporting, oppressing and torturing Afghan migrants.

Abdul Hamid Khorasani, the commander of the Taliban's Badri unit, said in response to the Iranian police's mistreatment of Afghan migrants that if Iranians mistreat you, defend your rights and beat and kill them.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told Tasnim news agency on Sunday that Khorasani's controversial statements were personal and did not reflect the position of the Taliban administration. He added that Khorasani does not represent any Taliban agency in Afghanistan.

Hamid Khorasani, who described himself as the commander of the Taliban's Badri unit, said on 22 May that he and his bodyguards had decided to hand over their military equipment and leave the group.

Khorasani was under pressure from the group for supporting anti-Taliban protests in Badakhshan. He has repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction with the ethnicity of Taliban commanders.

The Taliban spokesman said that Abdul Hamid Khorasani is a householder and has no position in the Taliban administration.
