Abu Muhammad Jolani: I believe in girls' education, Syria will not turn into Afghanistan anymore

In an interview with BBC News on Wednesday (December 19), Golani said that he does not want to establish a Taliban-style government in Syria.

He emphasized that Afghanistan and Syria are very different countries with different traditions.

The leader of Tahrir al-Sham has also said that Syria is tired of war and has emphasized that Syria under his rule will not be a threat to its neighbors or the West.

Abu Muhammad al-Julani, the leader of the Islamist group Tahrir al-Sham, which seized power in Damascus following the fall of Bashar al-Assad's government, says that unlike the Taliban, he believes in educating girls and will not prevent them from being educated in Syria.
