Taliban Virtue Advocates Warn Female Health Workers in Kandahar Not to Go to Work independently

According to the sources, in the last few days, after visiting several health centers, the Taliban have warned all these centers not to allow female employees without Muharram to enter the workplace.

With the approval of the new law known as Ambar-e-Ma'roof Talban, it is forbidden to transport women without Muharram and without hijab, and mixing women with men in vehicles.

In this Talban law, it is stated: "Whenever an adult woman leaves her house for a necessary need, she is obliged to cover her voice, face and body". This law has faced widespread reactions from the international community.

This is despite the fact that the Taliban group, after returning to power in Afghanistan, imposed dozens of restrictive decrees against women and narrowed their circle of life to the extent that they deprived them of their most basic rights, including education, work and free movement.

Sources from female employees in Kandahar say that agents known as Taliban in this province have warned them not to go to work without Muharram.
