ICC prosecutor calls for arrest warrants for Israeli and Hamas leaders

Benjamin Netanyahu, Yoav Galant, Yahya Senwar, Ismail Haniyeh and Mohamed Dhiyaf have been charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity.

However, US President Jubiden rejected a request by the ICC's top prosecutor to issue arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

"What's happening in Gaza is not genocide; we deny the accusation," Joe Biden said.

On Monday, the ICC's top prosecutor, Karim Khan, asked the ICC judges to issue arrest warrants for Hamas and Israeli leaders for alleged war crimes. The list announced by Karim Khan includes Israel's prime minister and defense minister.

Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant have been charged with "killing, causing starvation, as a means of war, preventing access to humanitarian aid and deliberately targeting civilians in conflict."

The ICC prosecutor has called for arrest warrants for Israel's prime minister, defense minister and senior Hamas leaders.
