2024 US Election; Women protesters call for an end to Washington's engagement with the Taliban

The protesting women of this network, in a statement on Sunday, 20 Aqrab, asked Donald Trump, the president-elect of the United States, to end the policy of interaction with the Taliban and not to support policies that lead to the promotion of interaction or the formalization of the Taliban.

A statement of this movement states: "Instead of strengthening the Taliban, we ask you to support international efforts and human rights organizations to find peaceful and sustainable solutions that guarantee the basic rights and freedoms of the Afghan people."

The protesting women of this movement have asked Donald Trump to end any negotiations with the Taliban and to sanction the officials of this group.

Donald Trump was elected as the 47th president of the United States by defeating Kamala Harris from the Democratic Party in the US presidential election. But so far, he has not said anything about his policies towards the Taliban and the human rights situation in Afghanistan.

The protesting women of the "Network of Struggle for the Freedom of the People of Afghanistan" say in a statement that Washington should stand by the women and girls of Afghanistan who need support.
