Red Cross: More than 85 percent of Afghanistan's population currently lives below the poverty line

This federation wrote in a report on (Tuesday, 15th of Scorpio) that 23.7 million people in Afghanistan need urgent humanitarian aid.


In this report, it is stated that natural events, climate changes, internally displaced people, economic challenges and food insecurity are among the main factors of human crisis in Afghanistan.


Referring to the Taliban's bans on the work and activities of women in relief organizations and other organizations, this institution says that this action of the Taliban has severely affected humanitarian activities.

The International Federation of the Red Cross, expressing concern over the worsening of the economic situation in Afghanistan, says that currently, more than 85 percent of the country's population lives below the poverty line.
