The department wrote in a statement on its Facebook page on Friday (Friday, February 12) that it is ending its activities after two decades of hosting and providing services to government bodies in Kabul with international standards.
The statement states that the management of the Kabul Serena Hotel will be transferred to the state-owned hotel company "HSOC" from February 1.
Serena Hotel also wrote in the statement that it is committed to providing services to host its guests in 33 other branches in 9 countries around the world.
It is worth noting that Hotel Serena was one of the few five-star hotels that, due to its standard services and facilities and strategic location in the center of Kabul, has always hosted government officials, diplomats, and foreign tourists.
The Kabul Serena Hotel is located near the Afghan Presidential Palace and in the "Shop" area.
Serena Hotels announced that it will close its Kabul branch after two decades of operation.
