The Taliban's political deputy sits next to a flagless pole in Qatar;
Maulvi Abdul Kabir, the Taliban's political deputy prime minister, who had traveled to Doha to attend the funeral of the Hamas leader, was given an empty bar by the Qatari government and refused to accept the group's flag.
Mr. Sateez said on Friday that the Qatari government's refusal to accept the Taliban flag showed that the Taliban regime had no political identity with the Qatari government.
Malek Satiz wrote that the Qatari government's flagless stick to the Taliban means that the Qatari government does not recognize the Taliban regime as a legitimate government representing the Afghan people.
However, Malek Satiz added that "the flagless bar has the status of a mercenary; you are a mercenary with the Qatari government; they provide you with money and political support; but you do not have political independence."
The researcher pointed to two scenarios, pointing to the Taliban's blank slate, saying the Taliban's diplomatic system does not know diplomatic protocols and is alien to the customs and norms of international relations.
Malek Sateez says the Qatari government's flagless bar for the Taliban is a great insult and a historical mockery of the group.
He also said the Taliban's office in Qatar is the center of the group's mercenary promotion of the political structures of the Taliban emirate in Kabul and Kandahar.
Before the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan, Qatar was the center of the group's political activities. Taliban-US talks and peace talks between the former government and the Taliban were also held in Qatar.
It is still the closest country to the Taliban. In addition to the Taliban's political office in Doha, Qatar has also handed over the Afghan embassy to the group.
Malek Setez, a researcher and international relations expert, says the Taliban's political deputy sitting next to a flagless base in Qatar is a major insult and a historical mockery of the group from the point of view of diplomatic custom.
