Taliban's Interior Ministry Calls Hamid Jalal's Murder Mistaken by Members of the Taliban

The Taliban ministry said on Monday that a delegation had been appointed to meet with Hamid Jalal's family.

The Taliban ministry wrote on X that a delegation from the Taliban had given 200,000 Afghanis to Hamid Jalal's family.

Hamid Jalal was shot dead by the Taliban last week while returning home from a friend's party in Kabul.

Hamid Jalal's father, Sayed Jalal, has previously demanded "retribution" for his son's killers.

Hamid Jalal was from Nangarhar province and was recently engaged, according to his relatives.

According to sources, Hamid Jalal was sitting in the back seat of the car when two bullets hit him in the head. The Taliban forces had not given any warning to stop the vehicle before opening fire.

In the past three years, there have been several reports of Taliban forces firing directly at civilians and city vehicles at checkpoints and highways.

The Taliban's interior ministry says Hamid Jalal, a 21-year-old student, was accidentally killed by a member of the group.
