Former Northern Ireland Prime Minister Calls for Boycott of Afghan Cricket Team

Mr. Foster, in an interview with BBC News on Wednesday (January 19), called on the England cricket team to boycott the match against the Afghanistan cricket team.

He has said that the actions of the Taliban regime, especially the ongoing repression of women in Afghanistan, have characterized the country as a rogue state.

Previously, a number of prominent figures from other countries have called for a boycott of the Afghan cricket team due to the Taliban regime's oppression of Afghan women.

Baroness Arlene Foster, former First Minister of Northern Ireland, who is one of seven members of the Northern Ireland House of Commons, along with more than 160 other members of parliament, have supported the boycott of the Afghanistan cricket team.
