OCHA: 23.7 million people in Afghanistan in urgent need of humanitarian assistance

Ocha Rose (Thursday, August 8) wrote in a report that the restrictions imposed on the basic rights and freedoms of Afghan citizens, especially women, have made it difficult to improve the human rights situation.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid wrote in this report that increasing poverty, conflicts, severe food insecurity, natural disasters, prevailing political conditions and other factors have led to difficult humanitarian conditions in the country.

On the other hand, the United Nations Population Fund says that this year, 28.3 million people in Afghanistan need urgent humanitarian aid.

Meanwhile, the World Food Program has recently said in a report that 14.8 million people in Afghanistan need urgent humanitarian aid in the coming winter.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid announced that 23.7 million people, including 9.2 million children, need humanitarian aid in Afghanistan.
