Afghan Ambassador to Tajikistan Zahir Aghbar Appreciates US Congressman's Support
In a letter to Burcht, he called the US official's open support for the Afghan people a responsible and valuable action. Aghbar also indicated that he would respond to the invitation in due course so that the talks could lead to a constructive outcome.
Referring to the current situation in Afghanistan, he stressed that efforts are underway to find practical solutions to overcome the crisis, with the cooperation of national figures. He praised Burcht's humanitarian commitment, adding that such support could lead to positive changes in the fight against terrorism and achieving stability and development in Afghanistan.
Earlier, the Burcht team had announced its support for the Afghan Resistance Front and invited Amrullah Saleh to the United States. But these trips have not been made yet.
Afghanistan's diplomatic representative in Tajikistan, Zahir Aghbar, thanked US Congressman Tim Borchet for his official invitation to visit the United States and support the Afghan people.
