Hundreds of Afghan refugees protest in Pakistan over lack of processing of their asylum cases

Hundreds of Afghan refugees in Pakistan have staged a protest demanding immediate processing of their asylum cases to reach safe countries.
The Afghan refugees, who have been waiting for their cases in Pakistan for months, say they are in a deplorable state of mind.
Most of these Afghan refugees include women's rights activists, journalists and government employees who have been arrested, tortured and forced to leave their jobs and the country by the Taliban. "
Most women in Pakistan have committed suicide because of psychological pressure," said Siah Mo Habibi, a women's education activist in Pakistan who was arrested, tortured and forced to leave Afghanistan by the Taliban.
They warned that if the responsible and human rights organizations do not address their cases immediately, a humanitarian disaster may occur due to the mental and psychological conditions among women and girls.
Thousands of Afghans were displaced to Pakistan following the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan; But after months, their asylum applications have not been processed.
A number of Afghan refugees in Pakistan have once again expressed concern over what they see as a lack of asylum cases.
