In a phone call, Trump urged Putin not to escalate the war in Ukraine

In the phone call on Thursday, Trump advised Putin not to escalate the war in Kiev, referring to the presence of US troops in Europe, the Washington Post reported.

According to the report, Trump told Putin that he wanted to talk to him more about "an early end to the war in Ukraine."

Trump also spoke to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on November 6 about the war in Ukraine after winning the US election.

President-elect Donald Trump said during his election campaign that he could end the war in Ukraine in one day. But he did not explain how he would do it.

The Kremlin said in a statement on Friday that Russian President Vladimir Putin was ready to hold talks with Trump on the war in Ukraine.
