Trump appoints special envoy to recover military equipment from Taliban

Without mentioning his full name, Trump mentioned a person named "Doug" and said that he was a capable and entrepreneurial person who could carry out this mission.
However, he did not provide further details about the identity of the person. Some speculation suggests that Doug Manchester, a Republican Party supporter, may be Trump's preferred choice.
Trump continued to criticize the current situation, saying that it angers him to see the Taliban parade with American equipment. He emphasized that the United States continues to provide billions of dollars in aid to Afghanistan, while the country itself faces economic problems.
"If the aid continues, the Taliban must return our equipment. They have tanks, vehicles, and advanced weapons that are even newer than the ones in our army," he added.
After the withdrawal of American forces from Afghanistan, a huge amount of military equipment remained in the country, which is now in the hands of the Taliban.
According to the US Department of Defense, the value of this equipment is estimated at more than $7 billion, including 78 aircraft, more than 40,000 military vehicles, and 300,000 weapons.
Also, biometric identification devices that were used to identify US-backed forces have now been transferred to the Taliban.
Reports indicate that some of these weapons have found their way onto the black market in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and have even been smuggled to the Middle East and Kashmir. Images have been released showing Iranian special forces also using American M4 weapons.
Some attacks by terrorist groups, including the ISIS attack on Hazaras in Daikundi, have been carried out using these weapons.
Local sources have also confirmed that American military equipment is being bought and sold in open markets in Afghanistan and the tribal areas of Pakistan.
In his speech at the American Conservative Conference, US President Donald Trump announced that he had put someone in charge of preparing a plan to recover US military equipment from the Taliban.
