While condemning the violent actions of the Taliban, the British Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that his country is trying to hold the Taliban accountable for their behavior towards women, the fight against terrorism and human rights.
This is despite the fact that no country, including Britain, has recognized the Taliban regime, despite having limited relations with the Taliban, Britain has always demanded that the Taliban be held accountable.
