Taliban kill ex-soldier in Parwan

The body of the former soldier was found in Bagram district of Parwan province on Tuesday, sources said.


Sources identified the former soldier as Fahim Qazi Khani, a resident of Chaharbarj village in Jabal-e-Siraj district of Parwan province.


According to sources, Qazi Khani had gone to Rig Rawan village of Kapisa province a few days ago to visit his friends. But on Tuesday, his body was found lifeless.


In the past three years, the Taliban have arrested, tortured and killed dozens of former soldiers despite announcing a general amnesty.

Local sources in Parwan confirmed that a former soldier was first arrested by Taliban militants and then killed in the province.
