Taliban order forced relocation of 600 families in Dawlat Yar district of Ghor

Sources told Exile on Saturday that the Taliban had ordered local residents to leave the area en masse.


Sources add that the Taliban have forcibly displaced 600 families by deciding on a land dispute between two ethnic groups in Dolat Yar district.


According to sources, Ahmad Shah Din Dost, the Taliban governor of Ghor, in collusion with Noorullah Noori, the group's minister of ethnic and tribal affairs, has recently decided to move all residents of Darreh-e-Kashro village to their homes in a land dispute between the Sardarkhel and Taymani tribes. They should leave and hand over their houses and property to the Sardarkhel tribe.


According to information, about 600 families live in Kashro village who have been ordered by the Taliban to leave their homes immediately and are not allowed to move their assets, crops, livestock and even the windows and doors of their houses.


Local residents say several generations have lived in the village for nearly 500 years and own the first property in Afghanistan's history; But the Taliban do not accept these documents.


According to reports, the land dispute between the Sardarkhel and Taymani tribes in Dolat Yar district of Ghor has been going on for years. The total land disputed between the two ethnic groups is said to be about 800,000 jeribs.


It is worth mentioning that different governments have taken decisions on this dispute; But none of them have been able to end the fight.

Local sources in Ghor say that local Taliban officials, including the Taliban governor for Ghor, in collusion with the group's Ministry of Ethnic Affairs and Tribes, have ordered the forced displacement of 600 families in Dolat Yar district of the province.
