The report said that the armed forces opposed to the Taliban have increased their attacks against the Taliban.


According to the report, Taliban opposition forces claimed responsibility for 68 attacks in the past three months, compared to 43 in the previous three months.


The Office of the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction also said that al-Qaeda leader Saif al-Adal had urged foreign fighters to migrate to Afghanistan.

The United States has provided about $21 billion in aid to Taliban-ruled Afghanistan in the past three years, according to the US Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction.
