Teaching modern sciences; Several girls' schools in Kabul have been closed

According to these sources, not only will the licenses of girls' schools no longer be renewed, but no permits will be issued for establishing new schools either.

Since regaining control of Afghanistan in August 2021, the Taliban have imposed extensive restrictions on girls' education. In 2022, secondary schools and high schools for girls were initially closed, and later in December of the same year, girls' university education was also banned.

In addition, many private educational courses, especially those teaching foreign languages, computer skills, and even medical training for girls, have been halted.

The United Nations and human rights organizations have repeatedly called these actions by the Taliban a "clear violation of human rights and women's rights" and have demanded the reopening of schools and universities for girls. However, the Taliban have consistently justified their restrictions by citing "the implementation of Islamic values and cultural standards."

Informed sources say that several girls' schools in Kabul have been shut down by the Taliban due to teaching school textbooks and foreign language education.
