Iran-Taliban Intelligence Cooperation; Telegraph: Tehran Seeks to Identify MI6 Spies

The Telegraph wrote that, for this reason, Iran has asked the Taliban to provide a list of Afghan citizens who collaborated with British forces to Tehran.

According to the report, this list includes the identities of over 100 members of British special forces and MI6 agents who had supported the asylum requests of their former Afghan colleagues.

The Telegraph also quoted a source stating that a special committee within the Revolutionary Guard has been tasked with pursuing this matter, and negotiations with the Taliban are ongoing.

Meanwhile, earlier sources had indicated that the Taliban instructed its security agents in Kabul to identify and detain individuals listed in the leaked British document.

According to The Telegraph, an Afghan citizen whose identity was revealed in this list was recently deported from Iran and returned to Kabul.

This comes after a list of several Afghan citizens who collaborated with British forces and applied for asylum was previously exposed due to a technical error.

The British newspaper The Telegraph has reported that Iranian Revolutionary Guard officials have requested the Taliban to hand over individuals suspected of being connected to MI6 or the British foreign intelligence service to Tehran.
