Ashraf Ghani: The risk of disintegration and civil war in Afghanistan has become serious

He has emphasized that the recent attacks in the provinces of Khost, Paktika, and Kunar, which have been attributed to the Taliban by Pakistan, are a clear violation of international principles and must be stopped immediately.

According to Ghani, these attacks only take people's lives and create the ground for greater instability.

Ghani has added in his message that his main concern relates to "new bloodshed projects"; schemes that, in his view, could drive Afghanistan toward collapse and deep ethnic and political divisions. He says experience has shown that in many cases, the terrorism label has been an excuse for exerting pressure and interfering in Afghanistan's internal affairs.

Nevertheless, Khawaja Asif, Pakistan's Defense Minister, has denied his country's involvement in these attacks and stated that no military operations have been conducted by Pakistan and that they do not target civilians.

The former president has emphasized that Afghan citizens must themselves decide on the country's future fate; a decision that has popular legitimacy, guarantees the rights of women and men, and provides the ground for healthy interaction with the world.

He has warned that any foreign attempt to impose political changes, whether direct or indirect, is unacceptable from the perspective of the Afghan people and constitutes a form of intervention.

Referring to internal disagreements, he has stated that despite the diversity of viewpoints, Afghans share a common stance on independence and determining their own political fate, and this convergence can prevent the country's collapse.

Ghani has once again called for the immediate cessation of tensions and respect for Afghanistan's national sovereignty, emphasizing that the people of this country have the right to use legitimate defensive tools against any aggression.

Ashraf Ghani, the former President of Afghanistan, has warned in his latest message about the possibility of the country's disintegration and the outbreak of civil war, stating that what is happening today at the Afghanistan-Pakistan borders could lead to a deeper crisis.
