Pakistan Army: Pakistani Taliban has pledged allegiance to Afghan Taliban leader

He emphasized that it would be better for the Afghan Taliban to resolve issues through peaceful dialogue.

Mr. Chaudhry stated during a press conference on Monday, November 4, that the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan has pledged allegiance to Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Afghan Taliban.

He added that the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is a branch of the Afghan Taliban.

Chaudhry said: "The conditions raised by the Afghan Taliban are meaningless; what matters is the end of terrorism. Pakistan has only one demand, and that is that Afghan soil should not be used against us."

This Pakistani official also denied claims of U.S. drone operations being conducted from Islamabad against Afghanistan.

Chaudhry stated that in the wake of recent clashes between the Taliban and Pakistani forces, at least 206 Afghan Taliban fighters and 112 TTP fighters have been killed.

He rejected the Taliban's request for the arrest of Khorasan ISIS group members on Pakistani soil, calling it meaningless.

These remarks come as Taliban and Pakistani delegations are scheduled to hold the next round of talks on November 6 in Istanbul to reach a mechanism for monitoring and combating cross-border terrorism.

Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, spokesperson for the Pakistan Army, has warned that if negotiations with the Taliban fail, the Pakistan Army will resolve this issue itself.
