Khawaja Asif: Taliban have brought the war to Islamabad, no hope for negotiations

Mr. Asif, on Tuesday, 20th of Aqrab [Scorpio], in a note on his X account, described this incident as a "serious warning" for the country. At the start of his message, he wrote that "Pakistan is in a state of war."

Pakistan's Defense Minister, referring to this suicide attack, said that if anyone thinks the Pakistan Army is only fighting in the border areas or Balochistan, this incident should wake them up.

He added that in such an atmosphere, "pinning hopes on negotiations with the rulers of Kabul would be wrong" and emphasized that the Taliban are capable of preventing terrorist operations inside Pakistan.

Pakistan's Defense Minister wrote that the spread of war to Islamabad is a "message from Kabul"; however, Pakistan "by the grace of God" has the ability to respond decisively to it.

This comes as, following the explosion near the Islamabad judicial complex, at least 12 people were killed and 27 others wounded. This incident occurred before noon on Tuesday, 20th of Aqrab [Scorpio], in the G-11 area of Pakistan's capital, and according to officials, the intensity of the explosion caused several vehicles around the site of the incident to catch fire.

Khwaja Asif, Pakistan's Defense Minister, in response to a suicide bombing near a judicial complex in Islamabad, has stated that the Taliban have now brought the war inside Pakistan and that no hope should be pinned on negotiating with them.
