Moscow Format Meeting; Participants took souvenir photos before the official start of the meeting

In this round of talks, officials from Russia, China, Iran, India, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan were present and exchanged views on the situation in Afghanistan and regional security and economic cooperation.


It is said that the main goal of the meeting is to examine the current situation in Afghanistan and find common ways to maintain stability and prevent the spread of terrorist threats in the region.

For the first time, Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Taliban’s foreign minister, has attended this round of the Moscow meeting as an official member; observers consider this a sign of change in the political position of this group in regional interactions.
