Pakistani police arrest five people on Afghan border on charges of preparing suicide attack

Pakistan's state radio reported on Friday (27 Saratan) that these five individuals were detained after crossing the border from Afghanistan into Pakistan.


Pakistan, which refers to the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan group as "Khawarij," has also labeled these individuals as Khawarij.


According to the report, citing security officials, these individuals had moved toward the Azizkhel and Mandi-Khel areas after entering Pakistan.


The report further stated that the five had taken refuge in a mosque in the Basi-Khel area due to the presence of security forces; however, Pakistan's security forces surrounded the mosque and detained them.


Pakistan's police have announced that investigations into the matter have begun.

Pakistani media reported that the country's security forces have identified and detained five Afghan nationals on suspicion of preparing a suicide attack.
