Trump: I will not allow Israel to annex the West Bank

On Thursday (3rd of Mizan), Trump, in a conversation with reporters at the White House, stated that he would prevent this action. He emphasized that an agreement to end the war is near, and the time has come to put an end to these conflicts.

These statements come as, following the recognition of the Palestinian state by countries such as the United Kingdom, Canada, and France, several Israeli officials have threatened to annex the West Bank to their territory.

However, Trump, during a meeting with leaders of Muslim countries on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, also emphasized that he would not allow such an action.

The possibility of annexing the West Bank has faced widespread reactions in the Arab world. Many countries consider this region an inseparable part of an independent Palestinian state. The West Bank has been under Israeli occupation since 1967, and approximately three million Palestinians and half a million Israeli settlers live there. The international community considers Israeli settlements illegal and views them as an obstacle to the formation of a Palestinian state.

Donald Trump, the President of the United States of America, has announced that he is opposed to the annexation of the West Bank to Israel and will not allow this region to be annexed to Israeli territory.
