Hengao: In less than eight months, the Islamic Republic has executed at least 800 people

The human rights organization stated on Monday (27 Asad) in a statement that, on average, 100 people have been executed each month, including at least 46 Afghan citizens among them.

However, further details about the identity and charges of the executed Afghan citizens have not been released.

Meanwhile, the human rights news agency "Hal-Vash" reported that at least seven Afghan citizens were transferred to quarantine in Bandar Abbas Central Prison on Sunday for the execution of their death sentences.

According to this report, two of them are Abdul Rauf Noorzai, a resident of Nimroz Province, and Abdul Rahman Ishaqzai, a resident of Farah Province; however, the identities and charges of the other five individuals remain unspecified.

Nevertheless, the timing of the execution of these individuals' death sentences is unclear.

"Hal-Vash" added that many Afghan citizens imprisoned in Iran face serious charges such as drug trafficking and have been tried in unfair judicial processes, without sufficient access to lawyers and fair trials.

According to reports, at least 80 Afghan citizens have been hanged by the Islamic Republic in 2024, a figure that indicates a threefold increase compared to the previous year.

The human rights organization Hengaw has announced that in less than eight months, approximately 800 individuals have been executed by the Islamic Republic on various charges.
