Women continue to be detained; Taliban arrest six women and young girls in Herat

According to sources, these women were arrested on Saturday morning (11 Asad) near the Herat public clinic by Taliban morality police and taken to an unknown location.


Based on the sources’ statements, Taliban morality police forcibly loaded the women and young girls onto Rangers and took them away.


Another source, confirming the incident, stated that over the past ten days, Taliban morality police have arrested at least 15 to 20 young girls from the Al-Mahdi Jibraeel township and Hazara-populated areas on charges of improper veiling and transferred them to an unknown location.


According to reports, in the past week, the Taliban have arrested and taken away more than a hundred girls from various areas of Kabul.

Local sources in Herat say that Taliban morality police have arrested at least six women and young girls on charges of improper veiling in the Al-Mahdi Jibraeel township.
