Two people injured in shooting at California shopping mall

The San Jose Police Department stated in an announcement that security forces, upon arriving at the scene, evacuated the building and conducted a search operation to ensure there were no further threats. So far, no information has been released regarding the identity of the gunman or the possible motive for this shooting.


Matt Mahan, the mayor of San Jose, expressed sympathy for the victims and said that police forces are working to identify and arrest the person responsible.


City officials emphasized that the situation is under control and asked citizens to refrain from traveling near the incident site.

American media have reported that on Friday evening, a shooting occurred at a shopping center in the city of San Jose, California. Local security officials announced that as a result of this incident, two people were injured and transferred to the hospital for treatment.
