The first half of the game ended with Morocco leading 2-0, and in the second half, two more goals were scored against Afghanistan's goal. The national players' efforts to come back from the scoreline or break through the opponent's defense proved fruitless.


Afghanistan would have secured a chance to reach the knockout round had they won this match.


The country's national players had previously defeated Tajikistan 9–5 in their first two games and drawn 2–2 against Iran.

Afghanistan's national futsal team suffered a 4-0 defeat to Morocco in their third match of the Islamic Countries Championship, failing to advance to the next stage.
