Karzai: Pakistani airstrikes are a clear violation of Afghanistan's independence

On Friday, 18 Mizan, Mr. Karzai stated in a post on the social media platform X that Pakistan's political behavior towards Afghanistan and the region demonstrates a lack of responsibility and foresight in its foreign policy, and the current critical situation in Islamabad is a direct result of these misguided policies.

Karzai has urged Pakistani authorities to pursue a path of improving relations and cooperation based on the principles of good neighborliness and mutual respect, instead of continuing violence and blaming others.

He also emphasized that Pakistan must adhere to its international commitments and refrain from military actions that threaten regional stability.

This comes as last night, local sources in Kabul reported hearing the sound of two powerful explosions in parts of the city.

According to Kabul residents, the sound of an unidentified aircraft was first heard over the city, followed by a massive explosion.

Some sources suggest that these explosions may have resulted from an attack by unidentified fighter jets targeting several areas of Kabul.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that the attack was carried out by Pakistan with the aim of assassinating Noor Wali Mehsud, the leader of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

The Taliban have confirmed the occurrence of these explosions in Kabul but have not provided further details.

Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, in response to Pakistan's recent airstrikes on parts of Kabul and Paktika province, described the action as a clear violation of international laws and a disrespect to Afghanistan's national sovereignty.
