Fawzia Kofi met with the British Foreign Secretary and discussed the situation of Afghan women.

Ms. Koofi, on Sunday (November 23), shared a photo of this meeting and described it as "meaningful."

She wrote that Britain can play a significant role in leading accountability mechanisms to restore justice and dignity for women.

However, the British Foreign Office has not yet reacted to this meeting.

It should be noted that with the Taliban's return to power in Afghanistan, women and girls have been deprived of their most basic human rights, including education, work, higher education, and freedom of movement.

Fawzia Koofi, a former member of parliament and women's rights activist, says she has discussed the dire situation of the people of Afghanistan, particularly the rights of women and girls, with David Lammy, the British Foreign Secretary.
