Pakistani army announces the killing of 11 soldiers in Balochistan

According to the statement, the operation took place on Tuesday (15 Mizan) in the Orakzai region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The Pakistani army described the militants as members of "Fitna al-Khawarij" and "India's proxy forces." The Pakistani government refers to the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as "Khawarij" and "supported by India."

The statement noted that during the exchange of fire, Junaid Arif and Tayyab Rahat, two senior army officers, along with 9 other soldiers, were killed.

Security experts say the increase in attacks in Balochistan and Sindh provinces indicates a resurgence of insurgent group activities in southern Pakistan, posing challenges to the security of transportation routes and major infrastructure projects, including railway lines.

Based on recent findings from the "Islamabad Security Research Center," the level of violence in Pakistan is on the rise. In the past three months, casualties from clashes, insurgent attacks, and counter-terrorism operations have increased by 46 percent compared to the previous quarter. According to the report, in 329 recorded security incidents, at least 901 people were killed, and nearly 600 others were injured.

The Pakistani army announced in a statement that at least 11 Pakistani soldiers were killed following clashes between the country's security forces and militants in Balochistan province.
