More than 6,000 Afghans deported from Iran and Pakistan

According to the commission, these migrants entered the country on Thursday, 30 Asad, through the Torkham, Spin Boldak, Pul-e Abrisham, Bahramcha, and Islam Qala borders.


At the same time, the Taliban announced that 131 Afghan migrants have been released from Pakistani prisons and returned to the country.


The International Organization for Migration had previously warned about the mass return of migrants from neighboring countries and called for immediate support for returnees.


According to the organization's statistics, since September 2023, more than four million Afghan citizens have returned to the country from Iran and Pakistan.

The Taliban High Commission for Addressing Migrants' Issues has announced that 6,184 Afghan citizens were deported from Iran and Pakistan in a single day.
